This is a globally renouned specialty store with a 10,000 sqm leasable space with a rental car reception area, a 550 seat food court, and a bonded warehouse for duty free items. A modern rendition of local motifs and material palette was used to entice tourists from mainland Japan. It was an ultimate case of international project management; the team consisted of project managers in Tokyo, the client group in Singapore, project architect in London, interior designer in Los Angeles, construction managers in Sydney, and the local architect and contractor in Okinawa, with most of casework fabrication in Singapore.
