DD An 80-seat Italian restaurant is planned behind an early 20c theater facade as an economic stimulus inserted to a run-down CBD of a mountain city with rich heritage. The facade has been an integral part of the streetscape, and therefore, is being rebuilt with a due improvement in its structure. The restaurant features a central open kitchen in a compact, yet tall space with exposed roofing structure. Its parking uses perforated paving to allow for lawn growth, and the outdoor spaces are designed to promote community interaction. Quincy Studio is design architect as well as project manager for the community group registraton scheme under the auspices of Sheep Network. [design and project management for a Japanese client]
