The mayor and a group of local merchants formed an alliance to redevelop the former site of a department store to prevent the city center from further economic decay. Quincy Studio under the auspices of Sheep Network, is project managing the organizational issues and providing design proposals. The initial scheme calls for rebuilding of the old school building and development of a commercial building to cater to the needs of the local communities.
